Jesus our Way
Constitution Part 1, Chapter 3, Article 3, Section 2
Jesus the Way provides the example and the means to achieve the goal of Christian life.

“I have given you a model to follow, so that as I have done for you, you should also do for one another.” (Jn 13:15)
“Whoever serves me must follow me, and where I am, there also will my servant be. The Father will honor who-ever serves me.” (Jn 12:26)

Our Lord revealed the model and pattern of His life which those who desire to be with God should follow. This pattern is the functions of Christ as Priest, Prophet, King, and Steward.

“The laity are made to share in the office of Christ as priest, prophet and king; they have therefore, in the Church and in the world, their own assignment in the mission of the whole People of God … it is exercised too when they endeavor to have the Gospel spirit permeate and improve the temporal order…. (Vat 2 Laity Ch 1 No. 2)

“Christ’s faithful are those, since they are incorporated into Christ through baptism, are constituted the People of God. For this reason, they participate in their own way in the priestly, prophetic and kingly office of Christ. They are called, each according to his or her particular condition, to exercise the mission which God entrusted to the Church to fulfill in the world.” (Can 204 S 1)
