Every human being has a different degree of desires to achieve on this earth, in different areas of our life namely; material, physical, emotional, social and even spiritual aspects of our life. It matters on the way of life we grew up in our childhood and in our environment. There are a lot of things we want to attain everyday, most especially now that most of the things we wanted to buy are already available in one click of our hand through the internet. There are so many things available everywhere that we want to have so that it can be used in our daily living that can satisfy our needs and wants. We also wanted to enjoy and be relaxed by

visiting beautiful places around us together with our loved ones. And we want to taste many kinds of foods that we want to eat that can satisfy our cravings. These are some examples that most of us always desire to have and experience. But when the time comes that we can have it, taste it and experience it already, then here we are again, desire another more that we don’t have yet again and again. Unending desires and wants is our nature, but when time comes that we recognize and accept that God is dwelling within us and be connected with his infinite love and mercy, and finally understand that all of us are His children, our whole perception of everything we want will change, because we realize already that all of these are ours created by God for all of us. Whatever others have and experienced, we are one with them too. Our total satisfaction of material things here on this earth start within our heart where our Lord resides. And then God will show us where our own happiness starts and what it is. That’s why when we open our heart to God, be with Him, talk to Him, and walk with Him, finally we find rest and true happiness here in our heart.

In my own experience, I don’t envy anymore whatever others have, rather be happy for them and blessed them. For example, When I saw my siblings, friends or neighbors, acquired something new like new house, car or anything that they have, I felt happy too, because I consider that I am one with them, I can also enter and sleep in their house, ride their car and be with them as they enjoy their blessings that God had given, because we love each other as children of our loving God.

PRAYER: Lord, once again thank you very much for this realization that you showed me. Everything that we have on this earth is not ours to personally own, it is yours Oh Lord, and we are all co-owner of all these gifts because we are your children. Help me always ponder the parable of the prodigal son, YOU our loving Father will be happy if we go back home and have everything that you have in your palace. Please help me to practice it day by day, so that your love for me and my love for you through my brothers and sisters radiates in my heart everyday. Help me to become a channel of your blessings too, so that I can share it to your children who needed it most. Open my heart to embrace all the things that you have created for us, nurture it and share it to others to build your Kingdom here in the place where you let me live. Please cloth me always with your love Lord so that the malice of my enemy cannot enter and destroy me in many ways that I cannot see. Amen.
